Beach Mats

Look for the new blue beach mats at White Sand Beach and Sound View! These 100-ft long paths lead from the paved areas down to the water to provide access for people with disabilities, walkers and elderly visitors or parents with strollers. At White Sand Beach, one of the two accessible parking spots was moved closer to the bath house and the location of the beach mat.

Thank you to our great Public Works crew for installing the mats at both locations.  The mats were purchased through the Town’s ARPA funding.

White Sand Beach

Public Works has made some changes to the parking lot at White Sands Beach to help us get ready for the delivery of our new beach mat.  The Mobi-mat or rec path will run from the corner of the parking lot by the bath house, down to the water. We've also reconfigured one parking space and updated both parking spaces and signs with the newly designed logo.
