At last weeks Board of Selectmen's meeting we recognized Judith Tooker who has worked for the residents of the Old Lyme for 42 years. Including 12 years as the Registrar of Voters and 30 years as the Tax Collector. We wish her a happy retirement.

Veterans Day

Please join the VFW Post 1467 for a brief Veterans Day ceremony at the Old Lyme Memorial Town Hall flag pole on Friday at 11:15 a.m.

Holiday Closing Schedule 

The Town Hall will be closed on Friday, November 10, in observance of Veterans Day. The Transfer Station will be open on Friday, but closed on Saturday, November 11, in observance of the holiday. Trash and recycling will be picked up per usual.

Thanksgiving Food Drive

Donations of non-perishable food are needed. LYSB volunteers, our Old Lyme Police Officers and our Resident State Trooper will be collecting items on:

  • Saturday, November 11, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Wednesday, November 15, 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Saturday, November 18, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

in the Old Lyme Market Place.  All food donated will be distributed to local families in need. See the list of suggested items.

Please join me in congratulating Melinda Kronfeld, Town Assessor, for being recognized by the Connecticut Association of Assessing Officers for her active involvement and continuous contributions.
