Due to the pessimistic forecast, we made the tough call to cancel the fireworks for Saturday night. Very disappointing and we will announce a new date when we have one.
Midsummer Festival - July 28 & 29
The Midsummer Festival is this Saturday with the kickoff concert tonight on the lawn of the Florence Griswold Museum starting at 7pm. Reminder: McCurdy Road and a portion of Lyme Street will be closed Saturday morning between 8-9am for the LYSB 5K race. To receive updates during the day of the festival, text midsummer to 888-777 to enroll your cell phone number.
Town Ice Cream Social - July 30
The Old Lyme Town Band will perform, Sunday afternoon on the Lyme Street, South Green (by the Churches) from 4-6pm. This event is sponsored by: the Old Lyme Historical Society, The Old Lyme Phoebe Griffin Noyes Library, the Greater Old Saybrook Chamber, the Florence Griswold Museum and the Lymes' Youth Service Bureau. Complimentary ice cream from Hallmarks will be provided.
I-95 Blasting Schedule
Beginning on August 1st, rock blasting along I-95 in East Lyme will take place Monday through Thursday for 6-8 weeks. I-95 North & South bound will be closed twice a day between the hours of 9am and 1:30pm for 15 minutes for each blast. You can sign up for text alerts to be notified 30 minutes before blasting starts, and the highway closes. Blasting will not take place on Fridays.
Thursday Summer Night Concert Series
Sound View Concerts - August 10 & 24 at 7pm. Enjoy a free concert with a nice sea breeze down at the end of Hartford Avenue.
