It's official, Connecticut is having a heat wave.  Here is some cool information to help you cool off...

Ribbon Cutting

Sunday, July 9, at 9:15 am, the Old Lyme Economic Development Commission (EDC) will host a ribbon-cutting to celebrate the first season of Salty Monkey, 83 Hartford Avenue, a beach bites business owned by Kristen Garcia.

Fire Department's Centennial Celebration

The 911 Never Forget Mobile Exhibit will roll into town at 2:30pm on Friday, July 14th. We encourage you to line the streets of Ferry Rd and Lyme St to welcome the tractor trailer that is the exhibit, and its police and fire department escort.  

Saturday, July 15th, from noon to 8pm is the 100th Anniversary Celebration of the Old Lyme Fire Department on the school campus (rain date July 16th). Town Hall staff is excited to help mark the occasion by decorating one of the mini golf holes that will be on one of the tennis courts.  

Senior Center Summer Concert Series

The Lymes’ Senior Center's - Summer Sounds Concert Series is off to a great start. The concerts are free and sponsors provide complimentary ice cream so check out the band schedule and share in the fun.

July = Tax Month

You have the entire month of July to make your 2023 tax payments. Your tax information is live on the Town's website.  You may pay all of your taxes with one check or transaction and save the extra pink envelope(s) to mail your January 2024 second installment payment (or drop your extras off at the Tax Office; they can use them throughout the year). Visit the Tax Collectors website page to view and pay your bill(s) on-line.

When you stop in to pay your taxes or conduct other business, be sure to visit the mezzanine level to see the artwork of natural fiber self portraits created by the Roger Tory Perterson campers on display.
