Free Narcan Training
Ledge Light Health District is helping sponsor a Free Community Narcan Training on Monday, June 26 at 7pm in the Memorial Town Hall Meeting Hall. Participants will receive a free Narcan kit, learn how to be prepared to save a life.
Help Celebrate the CT River Gateway Commissions Award for Excellence
The CT Land Conservation Council will honor the CT River Gateway Commission's 50 Years of Land Conservation in the Lower CT River Valley on Thursday, June 29th at 5:30pm at Gillette Castle. Old Lyme is a member of the commission and following the ceremony attendees will be able to explore the castle and its grounds.
The Tax Collector's Office will mail tax bills to taxpayers during the last week of June. You may also view and pay your bill(s) on-line via the town website starting July 1st.
Sound View Independence Day Parade
We look forward to celebrating with the annual Sound View Independence Day Parade on Saturday July 1st at 10am starting from Shoreline Community Center, 39 Hartford Avenue, Old Lyme. There will be a marching band, VFW Honor Guard, children marchers, decorated bikes, floats, balloons, and fun, fun, fun! After the parade, numerous prizes will be awarded to children for best costume, most patriotic, funniest outfit, and best decorated bike and wagon. If you want to be in parade, simply show up at 9:45 am on Hartford Avenue. For info, call Gail 860-434-6426.
Lastly, a quick reminder to license your dog at the Town Clerk's Office - penalties start accruing July 1st.
