The Lymes' Senior Center
The Lymes' Senior Center Building Committee will hold two public forums to update information and costs for the Senior Center Expansion project.
- May 8 at 7pm at the Lyme - Old Lyme Middle School auditorium
- May 9 at 4pm at the Lymes' Senior Center
School Budget Referendum - May 2, 2023
Old Lyme registered voters and eligible property owners may vote on the proposed 2023-2024 budget of the Regional School District 18 on May 2, from Noon to 8:00 pm. The polling location is in the gymnasium of the Lyme-Old Lyme Middle School, 53 Lyme Street, Old Lyme. The polling place entrance will be marked by signs, and leads directly into the gymnasium. Do not use the main entrance of the school. Enter using the high school driveway/entrance by the fire house, and park by the middle school tennis courts. Parking spots will be reserved for voters. More information about the proposed budget is available on the Region 18 website.
Tree Commission Event
The Old Lyme Tree Commission will be giving away FREE Tree Seedlings to Old Lyme residents on Saturday, April 29 at the Town Hall 10-12pm. Yes, even if it is raining!

Open Space Events
AT THE PHOEBE: A free presentation on light pollution and simple design changes that can reduce impact is scheduled for May 3 at 6:30pm at the Old Lyme - Phoebe Griffin Noyes Library. Night lighting has been shown to affect our health & wildlife - especially birds
“HIKERS' HAPPY HOURS” are back. These hikes are sponsored by the Open Space Commission, the Old Lyme Land Trust and the Old Lyme Inn. The first hike is next Wednesday, May 3 on Ames Open Space, starting at 4:15pm.
Lastly, Beach Parking Passes will be available on Monday, May 1 for the 2023 Season. Complete the application and send along with your payment to the Selectman's Office.
