First Selectmen's Newsletter

Top of the morning to you all on St. Patrick’s Day! Hope everyone has adjusted to the time difference and is enjoying this sunny weather. The Fire Marshals Office and the Old Lyme Fire Department reminds homeowners to change the batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.

Public Works

The Town has taken delivery of the new John Deer 410L backhoe loader that we ordered last June. Supply chain issues were responsible for the significant time delay and Ed Adanti, Superintendent of Public Works stated that the current price for this machine is now $12,000 above what we paid.

High School Musical

Mezzanine seating is still available for this weekend’s performances of the Lyme-Old Lyme High School musical - Mamma Mia!  Hats off to the cast and crew.

2023 Lymes Creative Arts Program

The Sustainable Old Lyme Team announces a call for proposals for its 2023 Lymes Creative Arts Program. Consider proposing a summer arts program if you enjoy leading middle and high school students in creative activities.

Geological Gift

Thanks to Jason Jacaruso for his rock solid donation to the Town. Not only did he mine the rock from his property, he delivered it to the Sound View bus stop. LymeLine has a nice write up.
