Summer Concert Series
Come enjoy a summer evening with us! Our fourth & final concert in our Summer Sounds Concert Series will be held this Friday, July 26th at 7pm. This Free Live Music Series is sponsored by the Lymes’ Senior Center & the Florence Griswold Museum and will be held on the grounds of the Florence Griswold Museum – 96 Lyme Street, Old Lyme. The band Locomotion will take the stage at 7pm. Started in 1987, Locomotion has become a favorite party and dance band in southern New England performing all styles of music at events across the region. The Locomotion lineup consists of a full power-house horn section, two lead singers, and super tight rhythm section to deliver a wide range of music including classic Motown hits, funk, rock, 80s dance, disco, standards, swing, and rhythm and blues.
Food Trucks will also be there from 6:30-8pm. Pack a picnic, bring your chairs, blankets, family, friends, and your dancing shoes!
The Museum’s galleries will be open and free of charge from 5-7pm to view Impressionism 150: From Paris to Connecticut & Beyond and From Art Colony to Connecticut Collection: Highlights from the Florence Griswold Museum.
