Overview

The Town of Old Lyme has authority over all trees and shrubs located within streets, rights-of-way, parks, forests, and public spaces of the Town, as well as trees and shrubs located on private property that constitute a threat or hazard to public safety.

Consult Town Ordinance Chapter 156 (Trees and Shrubs) for information on the responsibilities of the Tree Commission and the Tree Warden.
