What we accept: tops, sweaters, sweats, dresses, blazers, pants, jeans, skirts, shorts, undergarments, socks, t-shirts, slips, pajamas and coats.

What we do not accept: Mattresses, mattress pads, foam products, couch cushions, lawn furniture, cushions, carpet remnants and large rugs.

Plastic collection

Plastic is everywhere. Reducing plastic consumption is a more effective environmental practice than recycling it; however, recycling stretchy plastic at Big Y or Stop and Shop is still better than throwing it in the trash or your curbside recycling bin. It is not recyclable in your curbside bin.  To learn more about how to recycle in CT, please visit recycleCT.com.
