1. ~CALL TO ORDER
Anna Reiter called the meeting to order at~11:42am.
2. ~APPROVAL OF~MINUTES~– September 14, 2017
Anna Reiter made a motion to table the review and approval of the meeting minutes from September 14, 2017. ~SO VOTED.
3. ~UPDATE ON SITE PROGRESS
-Tree work to be completed by the Town Public Works Dept has been completed. Two trees and the tree pruning will need to be completed by Wilcox due to location of trees and pruning requirements.
-David Catalano marked the entire site and it is ready for earthwork to begin as soon as tree work has been completed.
-Earthwork cannot be completed by the Town Public Works Dept as planned due to equipment constraints. Ed Adanti (Public Works) suggested using Al Bond.
4. ~DISCUSS NEXT STEPS
-Bonnie Reemsnyder will ask Ed Adanti to coordinate with Al Bond to complete earthwork and schedule Wilcox.
-Emily Griswold will contact Joann DeCamillo (Tree Commission) to approve the tree pruning costs. Once approved, Bonnie Reemsynder will ask Ed Adanti to coordinate with Wilcox to schedule the remaining tree removal and tree pruning.
-Playground Equipment will be delivered near Thanksgiving; Installation therefore will not begin until after the Thanksgiving holiday.
-Playground Tile will arrive at the end of October/early November, and can be stored outside at the site.
-Bonnie Reemsnyder will ask Ed Adanti to secure the site with orange fencing before the earthwork begins.
-week of 10/16 Wilcox complete Tree Work
-week of 10/16 Al Bong complete earthwork following tree work
-week of 10/23 Sullivan complete paving
-week of 11/27 receive playground equipment
6. BUDGET REVIEW/FUNDRAISING UPDATE
-Al Bond will cost between $4K-$6 and will come out of the contingency budget
-Paving quotes included:
-Anton Paving: $12,500
-Sullivan Paving: $11,800
-American Paving: $11,200 (did not requote when asked for gravel pricing)
-Meghan Anderson motioned to accept all bids and choose Sullivan Paving because they were the low bid when all bid requirements were met. SO VOTED.
Next meeting scheduled for October 18, 2017 at 11am at Town Hall.
