Assistant Town Clerk

The Town of Old Lyme seeks a full-time Assistant Town Clerk to assist in the administration and execution of the functions of Town Clerk and Registrar of Vital Statistics. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, recording and reporting of land records, vital statistics and other official documents, assisting in all special and general elections, and issuing of various permits and licenses and the collection of related fees. Applicant must be detail oriented and have working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel and be able to work in a pleasant manner with the general public in a fast paced environment.  Submit cover letter and resume by Friday, December 15, 2017 via email to selectmansoffice@oldlyme-ct.gov, or by mail to First Selectwoman, Town of Old Lyme, 52 Lyme Street, Old Lyme, CT 06371.


Requirements: H.S. diploma and 3 years of administrative, customer service experience in a similar type of high-profile environment; or any equivalent combination of education, experience and training.
